LATEST FAQ UPDATE : September 29th, 2008
LATEST Program Release : version 2.8.6.0c - September 29th, 2008
If you are having difficulty receiving your Registration number using your e-mail please read the following:
Following the installation of the program, you are REQUIRED to enter a VALID e-mail in order to activate the software. We then send you a Registration Number that MUST be entered to use the program.
We noticed that some Public Mail users such as HOTMAIL, YAHOO and a few others, are having difficulty receiving the e-mail. Up to 24-hours are required in some cases to receive the e-mail. Also, please CHECK your "BULK (or JUNK) MAIL" folder as your e-mail Filtering Settings might prevent you from receiving it. If you continue to have problems, please try to use another e-mail address that is NON-Public. Your personal information and email are never shared with any other organization whatsoever – we take confidentiality very seriously. Our registration process is 100% managed by us and all of the communication links are encrypted.
PROGRAM F.A.Q. (About the program and it's features)
See our About Us page to know more about our very great (best of the world) product ;-) ... or maybe just to have a few laughs!
TECHNICAL F.A.Q. (About Using the program )
I can't share my files / other Diggers don't see my shared files ?
PornDigger has an Automatic "Questionnable" material scanner. You have some files that fit a "Forbidden Material" profile (i.e.: child, pre-teen, etc...). Remove any material that might fit the profile and restart the application. Also, if you really can't find the file or files that are the target, you can move a few files into a folder and test that way(remember to restart the application) ... if you see that folder, then it contains correct material.
I only see a few Diggers online - how come there are so few people here ?
A few reasons can explain this:
1.-You are behind Router or Firewall (hardware, software or Windows XP).. If this is the case, you will not see other people that are ALSO behind Firewalls or Routers unless you CONFIGURE your router to accept incoming connections on PORT 10000 (click here to find out how). We are working on an automatic feature for this, but it is for a future version release!.
2.-We are currently in BetaTesting and only have a few thousand users that come from around the world ... due to time zones and other factors, people log-in at different times !
What can i do to help? Tell your friends about PornDigger, and when you open your program, leave it active so there are more people to share from :-)
3.-PornDigger! now has Automatic Router Port configuration using a protocol called "UPnP", if it is supported by your router (80% of most routers should support it) it will configure your router automatically to let other diggers see you and connect to you.
A known bug of many LinkSys routers is that the UPnP service will stop and not respond anymore without any warning (known to happen monthly). SIMPLY unplug and re-plug your router and the service should be operational again. You might want to restart your computer afterwards so that your computer sees the service again.
I see a "Port Mapping Failure!" message while loading the application? Is this serious?
A few situations could cause this:
1. You're running Windows 98, ME, 2000 or earlier OSs... These OS's do NOT support UPnP ... and neither can we ... sorry !
2. You're Router does not support UPnP, or it is disabled in your router configuration (see you user/configuration manuals or use our Firewall page to configure your firewall / router manually.
3. You're Router is playing hard to get and you must REBOOT it to re-enable UPnP. Sh_t happens.
4. You have a Firewall software that asked you to let PornDigger! thru and you said NO! :-(
I want to download all pictures from a folder at the same time ?
That would be neat, but this will be in a Premium Version (yes, you'll have to dish-out a few bucks!), but hey, we have to make some money at some point ... this is a free program after all :-)
Some of the functions and buttons are disabled, why ?
Yes, we know, that means we're working on it ! Please be patient with us.
Does the 911 button call the cops?
No. It just closes PornDigger! and cleans the cache, REAL QUICK, so you won't get caught ;-)
How can I prevent someone from using PornDigger! on my machine?
That one is easy, there is a built-in password feature in the Configuration screen (In the Options | Open Configuration menu) that will prevent anyone you don't want from opening the application. However,The good old "don"t touch my computer or I'll kill you" also works.
I don't want anyone to see I have PornDigger! installed on my computer. Suggestions?
(A) Change the appearance of the icon on your desktop by right-clicking on it and choosing "Properties", then click the "Change icon" button.
Can I choose any username?
Yes, you can choose anything you want (except "Mamma", because it's my mama and nobody ain't talking about my mama like that). You may even put in a different username everytime you log on!
Does it matter that I connect to the internet through a proxy?
In most cases, no. However, we advise you to contact your network administrator to do the needful, if any change to the network settings is required. Our application has Proxy & firewall support in the Configuration options. If you're real darring but don't have the slightest idea of what we're talking about, what the hell, try 'em all and you'll find one that works. If nothing works, you're on a LAN or behind a firewall that explicitly blocks non-identified outgoing traffic. No porn for you at work today (sorry ;-). If you're the Boss, contact us, we'll fix something for you.
Can I connect directly to a user on the network?
Yes you can. Choose "Connect to IP" in the "Network" menu and enter the user's IP address in the dialog box. Click the "Connect" button… And that's it! By the way, this is as private as it can get: all your communications will be stricly from peer-to-peer. Your own private network!
Do you support all image formats ?
Not all formats just yet ! We support all JPEG's (JPE, JPG, JPEG) formats, GIF, BMP, PNG, PCX TGA and TIFF too. We are working on the rest ... it should'nt be long.
If I share pictures from my hard drive, it means that anyone can just go through the contents of my computer, delete my files, give me a virus and mess up my whole PC, right?
PornDigger! can also brew your coffee, burn your house down, mow the lawn and sometimes overcook your toasts. Seriously, there are no real security issues here. The only things that are accessible to other users are the JPEG images in the directory you chose to share. That's it.
I've finished reading the FAQ. How do I Download It ?
You can now use the download link on top of the page ... Happy Diggin'
